In Conversation with Marita Cheng,
Inspiring Next Gen Women Leaders 

对话曹丽君：激励下一代女性领导者

3月15日，澳大利亚驻上海总领事馆将举办与澳大利亚科技企业家和机器人专家曹丽君女士以及SHE REWIRES她原力创始人唐文洁女士的对谈活动，主题为“激励下一代女性领导者”。此活动将作为总领事馆庆祝国际妇女节的系列活动。

On 15 March, the Australian Consulate-General Shanghai will host Ms Marita Cheng AM, Australian tech entrepreneur and roboticist, and Ms Jill Tang, the founder of She Rewires  for a conversation about  'Inspiring Next Generation Women Leaders '  The event will form part of the Consulate-General’s celebration of International Women’s Day.

曹丽君的经历为很多年轻女性和女孩树立了很好的榜样。2008年，她创立了Robogals，这是一个非营利性学生组织，旨在通过创新的举措、工作坊和导师计划来改变科学、技术、工程和数学（STEM）领域中女性代表不足现象。通过这个组织，她已经连接了全球数万名女孩。

 Marita’s journey should be an inspiration for all young women and girls. In 2008, she founded Robogals, a not-for-profit student-run organisation that aims to transform the underrepresentation of women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through innovative initiatives, workshops, and mentorship programs.  Through the organisation, she has connected with tens of thousands of girls around the world.  

她还创立了两家初创科技公司，Aipoly和Aubot，这两家公司都利用技术推动积极社会成果，并出版了一本以人工智能生成的艺术为插图的儿童书籍。在她的职业生涯中，她获得了无数奖项，包括2012年的澳大利亚年度青年和2019年的澳大利亚勋章成员。她还被《福布斯》评选为2018年全球最具影响力的50位科技女性之一，以及2016年《福布斯》30位30岁以下精英榜单。曹丽君杰出的职业经历也为我们所有人树立了榜样，超越了国界，架起了社区之间的桥梁。

She has also founded two start-up technology companies, Aipoly and Aubot – both of which leverage technology to advance positive societal outcomes – and published a children’s book illustrated with art generated by artificial intelligence.  Along the journey she’s been awarded numerous awards, including Young Australian of the Year (2012) and a Member of the Order of Australia (2019).  She was also named among Forbes’ top 50 Women in Tech (2018) and Forbes 30 Under 30 (2016). Marita’s remarkable career serves as an inspiration for us all, transcending borders and bridging communities. 

曹丽君将会与唐文洁女士展开对话。唐女士用社群推动中国女性在创新工作发展的工作而被大家所熟知。本次对话将探讨推进女性在创新领域参与的重要性，导师的作用以及思考我们如何打造一个更具包容性的未来。

Together with Jill Tang, renowned for her efforts to inspire women’s participation in innovation through community building, this dialogue will explore the importance of, the role of mentors and how we can think about making a more inclusive future for all.

Ms. Marita Cheng AM

Marita Cheng AM（曹丽君），澳大利亚科技企业家和机器人专家，因其对于机器人科技的重大贡献而在2019年荣获澳大利亚勋章(AM)。2018年被福布斯评为全球科技女性 50强, 并于2016年入选福布斯30位30岁以下精英榜. 

在大学攻读工程学期间，Marita创办了一个全球性组织Robogals，通过向年轻女孩们传授机器人编程技术，激励她们从事工程职业并进入高等教育。

由于在Robogals的工作成果，她获得了2012年度“澳大利亚杰出青年”，并在联合国总部荣获了亚洲协会"亚洲创变者奖"，该奖项的获奖者还包括中国企业家马云和雷军。

此后，Marita创办了Aipoly公司，利用人工智能实时识别物体，帮助视障人士浏览世界。她还创办了Aubot公司，目前担任首席执行官，制造可以远程控制的机器人和机械手臂，为行动有障碍的人士提供护理和帮助。

作为科技界的杰出女性，Marita毕业于墨尔本大学，获得工程和计算机科学学位。她出生于澳大利亚，通晓英语、粤语和日语

While studying engineering at university, Marita founded Robogals, a global organization that inspires girls into engineering careers and tertiary studies through teaching girls robotics. For her work with Robogals, she was named the 2012 Young Australian of the Year, and received an Asia Society Game Changer Award at the United Nations, which was also awarded to Chinese entrepreneurs Jack Ma and Jun Lei.

Marita has since founded Aipoly, using AI to recognize objects in real time to help the visually impaired navigate the world, and also founded Aubot, where she currently serves as CEO, making telepresence robots and robotics arms that care and enable.

As an outstanding woman in tech, Marita graduated with an Engineering and Computer Science degree from the University of Melbourne. She was born in Australia and speaks English Cantonese and Japanese.

Ms. Jill Tang

Jill Tang是一位社会企业创业者、社群打造者和ESG倡导者。

Jill是科技女性社群SHE REWIRES她原力的创始人和社群共建者。她原力的使命是通过共建行动重塑 一个更加创新 的未来。它是一家链接 70,000 多名会员与130位志愿共建者的社会创新初创企业。

Jill也是2016年澳中杰出青年校友的候选人，并在2019年获评TatlerAsia中国新锐先锋100人。她也是2023妇女地位委员会第六十七届会议的实质性筹备工作联合国妇女问题专家组成员并提供专家意见。

Jill拥有乐卓博大学的商科学士学位、蒙纳什大学的应用金融硕士学位及墨尔本商学院的工商管理硕士。2019年她完成了INSEAD性别平等项目的证书并在2023年在哈佛商学院完成了社会企业和非营利高管证书。

Jill Tangis a social entrepreneur, community builder and ESG advocate.

Jill is the Founder and Community Co-Builder atSHE REWIRES, a co-building social enterprise focused on the development of women in the innovation space in China. It connects more than 70,000+ members with 130 dedicated co-builders around the globe.

Jill was a finalist for the 2016 Australia China Young Alumni of the Year and nominated in the top 100 Gen T in China by Asia Tatler in 2019. Jill also participated in the expert group for UN-Women to inform the substantive preparations for the sixty-seventh session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW67).

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Latrobe University, Masters of Applied Finance from Monash University and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Melbourne University Business School. Jill also completed her Gender Equality Program Certification at INSEAD in 2019 and Executive Certificate for Special Management for Non-Profit at Harvard Business School in 2023.
