Only 3 years old, Pinduoduo (PDD) has become a force to be reckoned with in China’s e-commerce space. In this short amount of time, PDD has leveraged its unique business model, and Tencent-backing, to grow into a major player. Offering cheap products through social gamification, PDD has figured out a way to tap into lower-tier markets typically underserved by China’s fastest growing verticals.
