4月9日,哥伦比亚大学全球中心 | 北京邀请哥伦比亚大学音乐系助理教授凯文·费尔利兹(Kevin Fellezs)来到北京,分享其关于流行音乐融合手段的最新著作《火之鸟——爵士、摇滚、疯克与融合音乐的创立》。同时,本书的中文译者、天津音乐学院音乐学系副教授刘研也受邀参加, 她将讲解美国流行音乐的发展背景,带领大家认识相关概念,并与一同出席的中央音乐学院出版社编辑部主任、副编审余原老师,从译者、学者、及中文出版方的角度畅谈本书的重要价值。
讲座结束后,将举行哥伦比亚大学北京校友会志愿者见面会,就哥伦比亚大学北京校友会活动发展计划,由校友会会长李恺与校友志愿者们共同规划,欢迎校友参加。
On April 9, Columbia Global Centers | Beijing invites Assistant Professor Kevin Fellezs from Columbia University's Department of Music to introduce his recent book: Birds of Fire: Jazz, Rock, Funk, and the Creation of Fusion (Duke University Press). Meanwhile, Professor Yan Liu and Ms. Yu Yuan, who translates and publishes the Bird of Fire, will join us and talk about the value of this book from perspectives of a translator, academic, and publisher.
There will be a CAA Beijing Alumni Volunteer Meeting following the public lecture. Kevin Li, President of CAA Beijing, will lead the discussion about development of alumni activities. After the meeting, a site visit session will be arranged.
