• What we'll do
You’ve seen Kombucha in the supermarket and heard all about its wonderful health benefits. In this workshop you will learn how to make and maintain your own Kombucha and leave with the materials to start brewing on your own at home!
Kombucha is simply, sweet black tea with Scoby (Symbiotic Colony of Bacteria and Yeast). The Scoby processes and ferments sugar and caffeine into good probiotic bacteria that has numerous positive health benefits including promoting a healthy gut.
While the beginning a Kombucha brew can be a bit intimidating, once you begin, it is very simple. In this workshop you will learn how to properly clean and disinfect your materials to prevent infection and ensure a healthy fermentation. You will leave the workshop with your own Scoby and starter, the only materials you will need from home is a glass jar, white vinegar, and sweet black tea. (During the workshop, we will prepare the rest of the things for you here!)
